Are you a New Student? Welcome!

You can always drop in an pay for a single class for $15.00, but if you are new to yoga (or just new to Heartwood Retreat Center) you may wish to start by purchasing a Groupon for classes, providing a low introductory special to get you started.


Groupon specials include $29.50 for a 5 class pass, or $56.50 for a 10 class pass (50% off). You can purchase this special discount package online or right at our front desk, but the Groupon introductory special can be used only once for students new to Heartwood, after which you must purchase class packages or sign up for a monthly, quarterly or yearly pass depending on how much yoga you plan to fit into your life. If you have a Groupon, you do not need to preregister for a class. Just please bring it with you to your first class and we will set up your account on your first visit. From then on, your classes will be in an online account so you can sign up online before arrival or when you get here. Class passes can be used for yoga, writing, shamanic journeys or any basic 1 to 2 hour class at Heartwood. (Workshops and Retreats must be registered for differently.) All groupon packages have a three month expiration from the first class taken. No exceptions. Class packages purchased at the regular price have a one year expiration date. We're sorry, but only one Groupon can be purchased per student and there are no exceptions (even if groupon continues to send you solicitations and invitations to buy more.)  

Are You New to Yoga in general? We want your first introduction to be positive and informative!

If you are a beginner, you are always welcome to just come and try any of our classes, and our experienced teachers will help acquaint you with yoga basics and get you started. But we also invite you to attend one of our free "Introduction to Yoga" sessions that we schedule approximately every 6 weeks when and if you can for a broad overview and to heighten your awareness of the potential of yoga. This session is formatted to explain what yoga is and how it works to help new yoga students understand the goals of the class and how to get the most out of a yoga practice. This session offers a simple one hour practice with lecture and explanation to help teach students the basics. The class is down to earth, simple and designed to make students comfortable and familiar with yoga so that they can enjoy any class safely and with confidence. Best of all, the class is free, our gift to you, to make your introduction to yoga a truly positive experience.  Even students who have taken yoga for years yet never understood the deeper dimensions of yoga find this an informative session, so if you want to learn more about how to get the most from your yoga practice, join us! All are welcome.
