A Room of Her Own: Self-Care Women’s Retreat in beautiful Ashville NC!
Sept. 7-11 in Ashville North Carolina.

With Denver Bosky and Ginny Shaddock.

This fall, join us for a remarkable 4 day yoga girl’s trip to the beautiful North Carolina Mountains where women with warm, adventurous spirits can join together in a gorgeous private lodge to focus on self-care and honoring (and recognizing) our personal needs. This retreat includes art, yoga, writing, nature exploration, vacation excursions and more as we pause to give ourselves a little love and relaxation as reward for all the work and giving we do to for others.

The lodge offers private accommodations with luxurious queen or king beds and private bathrooms with beautiful kitchen and open spaces for relaxation and group interaction. Have coffee by the rustic fireplace on the porch or step outside to gather around the stone fire-pit to talk and share your wisdom with the backdrop of long mountain views all around. Take a walk in the nearby woods or sink your toes into the stretch of lawn to do a bit of “earthing”. Each day we will enjoy a gentle yoga class & meditation on the deck overlooking the gorgeous mountain view, as well as a variety of activities including journaling, art projects, and nature exploration all designed to reignite our feelings of self worth  and remind us to celebrate how deeply connected to this wonderful earth we can be. Our art center remains set up the entire weekend, so you can continue with projects and unleash your creativity at will.

As a group, our plans include a visit Ashville Yoga for a class (with 100 classes a week to choose from,  certainly there is something for everyone.) followed by an afternoon picnic at the beautiful Pisgah National Forest where the inspirational grounds, waterfalls and nature’s creatures make us breathe deeply with appreciation (and take a few yoga pics, of course!). We will enjoy the local drum circle (Friday evening) and dinner at the Pickin and Pullin' festival at the Wicked Weld Funkatorium Pumpkin Beer Release Festival with bluegrass music, barbeque (and for those inclined) pumpkin beer!

On Sunday, choose to stay in the lodge to rest and reflect or elect to participate in a few optional excursions including White water rafting, visiting Biltmore Mansion or shopping in historic Ashville. At night we will join around the firepit for opportunities to share our insights as we circle the subject of self-care and reconnecting to our best self. This is the week of the fall full moon, so we will roll out our mat for evening practice under the full moon, followed by learning about how to use moon energy to reinforce your life intentions too.

All meals will be vegetarian and included (with the exception of meals you may decide to purchase on excursions) The lodge will be filled with healthy fare, so those who do not choose to go out can enjoy self-prepared meals anytime.

Retreat Fee 450.00 - $630.00 (depending on accommodations you choose). Includes 4 nights of luxurious private accommodations, meals, Supplies for art actives , yoga class at Ashville Yoga,  yoga, meditation, and instruction at the lodge, picnic lunch at Pigsha National Forest. Each individual is responsible for tickets to personal excursions they may choose.

To reserve your space, please sign up with a deposit of $250.00. Once we hold space for you, there are no refunds, but we will try to sell your space to someone on the waiting list if something happens to make it impossible to join us. The balance is due 10 days in advance of the retreat.

Attendees are responsible for their own travel two and from the retreat, however if you wish to ride share from Sarasota/Bradenton, we will hook up people as they sign up and your “girl’s trip party” can start the moment you leave home.

Choose your room - All accommodations are great and we will make adjustments for the comfort of all as necessary so we all have a great time and can relax . For the sake of "first come first serve", we will note what rooms are no longer available as people register and choose their rooms.
